Bradley Equestrian Operates out of 501 Sport Horses in Cabot, Arkansas. Schedule a visit to check out this world-class facility. Our horseback riding lesson program focuses on building well-rounded equestrians in the english riding discipline of eventing with a strong dressage foundation. Lessons are open to interested children. We have appropriate lesson horses for children and adults. Boarding is available for students that have their own horse.
At the heart of this program is a passionate horse girl that was fortunate enough to grow up doing everything from riding bareback and participating in western games, to learning in elite training programs. We know how to keep the formal riding fun and a passion for true horsemanship will shine through in every lesson! Shelby grew up at her family's equestrian facility in Arkansas, Maumelle Equestrian Center", and is a second-generation instructor. Many hours were spent in the saddle and on the ground cantering around the farm with friends!"
In addition to the lesson program, Shelby offers all levels of training from start to upper level competition horses. Shelby specializes in starting young horses in a manner that solidifies the basics and sets them up for success in their future career.
First and foremost, Shelby is a horse-lover with a passion for teaching! This passion was fostered through a childhood surrounded by horses, top-class instructors and more "horsey" friends than one can imagine. Shelby received instruction from many fantastic instructors growing up, including Mike Huber, Mary D'Arcy and Cindy Thaxton. This lead to Shelby competing in the North American Young Rider championships and through the Intermediate level of eventing by the age of 16. After high school, Shelby spent a year focusing on dressage with Cindy Thaxton, competing through third level. This time taught Shelby many important lessons about the finer details of horsemanship and how to run a successful equine business. Shelby then went on to complete her degree in psychology and earned her Masters in Healthcare Administration. Throughout these many life adjustments, one thing has always maintained in her life, her love for training horses and students. Bradley Equestrian's mission is to educate students on how to be successful in all manners of the sport, from horse care to the show ring. Whether you are just getting started, or working towards some big competition goals, we can help!
Bradley Equestrian is very lucky to have Michelle Wadley as Assistant Instructor. Michelle has many years of experience in various aspects of the equine industry, ranging from competitive riding to journalism to owning a tack shop! Michelle is heavily invested in the being a lifelong student of sport and supporting safe, horse-focused riding. Furthermore, Michelle is a trained Master Saddlers Association saddle fitter and our areas representative for County Saddlery!
